Easily and accurately calculate the volume of a spoil pile, borrow pit, or other excavation projects.
Step 1 - Natural Ground Surface First create a surface from ground shots taken before any excavating has been done.
Step 2 - Finished Ground Surface After excavation has been completed, take a second set of shots of the project and create a "finished ground" surface.
Step 3 - Calculate Volume In this step, you will use the first two surfaces to create a third surface called a "Volume Surface". This will give you the total cut and fill and also allow you to place cut and fill labels anywhere on the surface.
The volume is calculated using prismoidal methods based on the two triangulated surfaces.
